Minimally Invasive Dentistry

Thoughtful care. A lighter touch.

Sometimes a smaller step can help protect a growing smile. Minimally invasive dentistry focuses on preserving tooth structure and managing decay with care tailored to your child.

Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF)

SDF is a liquid applied to certain cavities to help stop decay without drilling. It permanently darkens the decayed area and may need repeat applications. A filling or crown may still be needed later.

Hall Technique Crowns

For selected baby molars, a stainless steel crown can seal decay beneath it without drilling or numbing injections. We’ll assess whether the tooth is suitable and explain what to expect.

ICON Resin Infiltration

Resin infiltration can help treat certain early enamel lesions and reduce the appearance of some white spots, including those that can appear after braces. Results depend on the type and depth of the spot.

The right fit for your little one

These options don’t suit every tooth. We’ll explain the benefits, limitations, alternatives, and follow-up care before choosing a plan together.
