Some parts of your child’s smile are tucked out of sight. Digital X-rays help us see between teeth and beneath the gums, giving us information we can’t get from a regular exam alone.

What can we see?

X-rays can help us find hidden cavities, check developing teeth, and understand an injury or other concern. That closer look helps us plan care around what your child actually needs.

Only when they’re needed

Every smile grows at its own pace. We recommend X-rays based on your child’s exam, dental history, development, and risk of decay. They aren’t automatically needed at every visit.

A thoughtful approach

Dental X-rays use radiation, so we take care to limit exposure and choose images that support your child’s care. We’ll explain why an image is recommended and answer your questions before we begin.
